Collectors of Beatles memorabilia will have the opportunity to own one of the more iconic pieces in history as John Lennon’s famous round glasses are hitting the auction block.
Omega Auctions is hosting a huge Beatles sale next week, which will feature rare records and other assorted pieces from the band’s past.
Pre-sale estimates expect around $20,000 for the eyewear, which was given to artist Barry Finch as he collaborated with Lennon on the inner sleeve artwork for Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Previously unseen photographs of the singer taken by Andy Warhol as well as paintings Lennon created will be for sale at the March 26 event.
Are you a Beatles collector? What pieces do you own? What about the Beatles still makes people go nuts for them?
