An Arkansas woman and her boyfriend hatched what they thought was a great idea to spring him from the pokey. They almost got away with it too.
Posing as a California sheriff’s deputy, Maxine Feldstein arrived with forged documents and managed to convince Washington County jail officials to release Nicholas Lowe.
Unfortunately, the real deputies came looking for Lowe two days later and the ruse was uncovered. The pair were caught a month after the prison break.
Feldstein was sentenced to 30 years for charges including criminal impersonation, but a judge cut it in half.
