First Metallica scholarship students at GRCC graduate

Skilled trade workers are in high demand in the state of Michigan. Metallica recognized this by giving Grand Rapids Community College $100,000 in scholarships to students in their skilled trade programs.

On Monday, many students who received Metallica’s scholarship graduated and are now off into their individual careers.

Uniqua Sparks is one of those students. She is a mom of three who’s recently gone through some financial difficulties.

Metallica is helping many people like Sparks with their scholarship program. GRCC is one of ten schools across the country that received this scholarship fund.
