Aaron Westlake, the Detroit Tigers' 22nd round pick in 2010 out of Vanderbilt, has not had many opportunities to prove himself thus far in spring training. He took advantage of one of his few chances on Sunday, though, blasting a home run in Detroit's loss to the Braves.

Westlake hit .249 with nine home runs and 69 RBI for Class A West Michigan last season, his second in the Tigers' minor-league system.
The Tigers took a bit of a scattered roster to take on Atlanta at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex, bringing up Westlake from minor-league camp for the trip. His homer was his lone hit in three at-bats - his only three at-bats with the Tigers in spring training.
