The 49ers' quest to find Dashon Goldson's replacement took a blow on Friday when safety Louis Delmas decided to re-up with the Lions for two-years, $9.456 million.
The former free agent was one of three players who met with the 49ers on Thursday. It's possible the Niners were lowballing Delmas, 25, because of his injury history.
So what now for the Niners? Well, they're are reportedly still considering Charles Woodson, who has already met with the team, and Ed Reed, who recently had talks with the Texans cut short by rapper/annoying Bud Light spokesman Pitbull, to fill the Goldson's void at free safety. The 49ers on Friday also reportedly brought in Rams free agent Craig Dahl for a meeting.
