Uber driver charged with kidnapping after passengers live-stream high speed chase

An Uber driver has been charged with kidnapping after taking off on a high-speed chase with passengers in the car.

Police in Richmond, VA say the driver, 38-year-old Olufemi Olomola, was rear-ended by another driver and took off chasing them, running red lights and stop signs.

His terrified passengers – a married couple enjoying a date night – livestreamed the chase on Facebook while begging Olomola to let them out.

One of the passengers called it “the scariest moment of my life”.  Olomola has been charged with abduction, reckless driving, and hit and run, and Uber says it’s removed his access to their app.

Have you ever had a bad experience with an Uber driver?  Should Uber be held responsible for his behavior?
