Sammy Hagar tells how he snuck into the first U.S. Rolling Stones show

Sammy Hagar recently told the story of how he snuck into the Rolling Stones’ first U.S. show back in 1964.

Hagar told Ultimate Classic Rock that he and a friend were hanging around behind the Swing Auditorium in San Bernardino, CA despite having no money for a ticket.

Eventually, a bus pulled up carrying the band.  As Mick Jagger and company headed inside the arena, Hagar and his friend walked in right behind them.  “Straight in with the Stones, right to the backstage, man!”

Hagar says it was the “first real concert I saw”
