Kansas violinist and vocalist Robby Steinhardt has died at the age of 71 after a brief illness.
Steinhardt was a founding member of Kansas in 1973, best known for his haunting violin solo on “Dust In The Wind”.

Steinhardt retired from Kansas in 2006 but was working on a comeback solo album at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife Cindy and daughter Becky.
