Kelly Stafford blasts Ndamukong Suh on her podcast

Producer Travis Gibbs from the Tony Gates Morning Show here.

Let me start this off by saying that I can’t stand Kelly Stafford. She has a big mouth and she’s received a lot of criticism over the last couple years because of it.

She does a podcast called, “The morning after with Kelly Stafford” and she discussed Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Rams won 30-27 in dramatic fashion.

During the game, her husband Matthew, and his former teammate Ndamukong Suh got into a heated scuffle. It resulted in Suh receiving an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty during the game, even though some people pointed out that Stafford kicked Suh during the play.

Personally, it looked like No. 9 was trying to make sure a 300-pound man wasn’t going to fall with all of his body weight on top of him.

Side note: isn’t it kind of funny that Ndamukong Suh out of all people is complaining about being kicked? The same guy that built a horrendous reputation for being a dirty player while playing for the Detroit Lions.

Kelly took exception to Suh’s actions that were directed at her husband.

“I feel like he’s the only player in this league who really dislikes Matthew and we don’t know why. We legit don’t know why. … Now he can actually dislike him for a fricking reason. I thoroughly enjoyed it and that’s all I’m gonna say. I wish Suh the best, I really do. His family is always so kind. But come on dude, ya’ll were teammates at one point. That really bothered me. … I just don’t get it, it disappoints me in a way with Suh.”

The morning after with Kelly Stafford

My take on this situation is simple: Kelly makes her husband look worse by doing things like this. It’s football. It’s the root of competition. Friends or not, everything is tossed out the window once you step onto the field. Who cares if Suh doesn’t like your husband anymore? They haven’t been teammates in eight years. I doubt that Matthew cares.

Personally, this feels very ‘keyboard-warrior’ like. Especially after she posted this on her Instagram Story that she tagged Suh in:

Kelly, the only reason people know who you are is because of your husband. No need to go and try fighting his battles, especially over social media.
