Grand Rapids Mayor David LaGrand has a plan for the ‘lump’ that’s created from snowplowing at intersections on residential streets. He suggests that residents ‘adopt’ the lump, and take care of it themselves.

In this week’s Mayor’s Minutes, Mayor LaGrand suggests a simple, neighborly solution: adopt an intersection. Clearing snowplow buildup at corners can make crossings safer and more accessible, especially for people with mobility challenges.
LaGrand mentioned he’s going to adopt an intersection on his block where he’ll be taking care of the snow. If you’re a GR resident, how do you feel about chipping in?
