His first album came out way back in 1990, but even closing in on 40 years in the music business, Kid Rock just achieved a career first.
His take on Cody Johnson’s “Til’ You Can’t,” with an additional Christian-themed lyric first introduced on the Turning Point USA halftime show, has given Kid his first-ever #1 on the latest Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart.
The song’s success isn’t restricted to that chart; “Til’ You Can’t” also debuts at #9 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, #14 on its Hot Country Songs chart and #69 on the Billboard Hot 100. This marks Rock’s biggest radio hit since his “Greatest Show on Earth” reached #16 on the mainstream rock chart back in 2017.
It also marks the first time any Kid Rock song has hit #1 on any US chart (though 2008’s “All Summer Long” reached #2 in the US and #1 in several other countries).
