A Muskegon Heights woman who went viral after escaping from a police cruiser while in handcuffs is now back in custody.
Police say the incident happened Saturday afternoon when officers approached a vehicle parked near an abandoned business at Norton Avenue and Peck Street. While the driver was identified, officers initially couldn’t confirm the identity of a female passenger. A fingerprint scanner later revealed the woman, identified as Kendra Aney, had an outstanding parole violation.
After several days on the run, Muskegon Heights Police confirmed Aney was arrested Tuesday and is once again in custody.
