Michigan drivers fed up with dodging craters on the road now have a chance to get some financial relief. According to a new MLive report, the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association (MITA) is offering to reimburse up to $800 in repair costs for drivers whose vehicles are damaged by potholes. The program will run through June, covering up to five drivers per month as part of an effort to highlight the state’s ongoing road‑funding crisis
The initiative, part of MITA’s continuing “Pothole Payback” push, aims to draw attention to Michigan’s aging infrastructure while helping a small number of residents offset the steep costs of repairs.
