Lindsey Buckingham was the victim of an assault yesterday (and no, before you ask, it was not Stevie Nicks). The former Fleetwood Mac singer/guitarist was entering a building in Santa Monica, California for an appointment when a woman allegedly threw an unknown liquid at him before running away. Law enforcement described the assailant as “a stalking suspect.”
In a statement, the LAPD said, “The Los Angeles Police Department’s Threat Management Unit is working with the Santa Monica Police Department to investigate this incident. To protect the integrity of the open and ongoing investigation, no further comment will be provided at this time.” Buckingham was uninjured in the attack. No arrests have been reported, though police say one is expected soon.
