Western Michigan University hockey is set to make history in 2027 with a marquee outdoor game against the University of Michigan — and for the first time ever, it’ll happen on WMU’s own campus.
The Broncos will host the Wolverines at Waldo Stadium on January 30, 2027, transforming the longtime football venue into an open-air hockey stage. It marks the first outdoor hockey game ever played at Waldo Stadium and a major moment for WMU athletics and the Kalamazoo community.
For WMU, the event is another milestone during one of the most successful eras in program history. Ticket and event details are expected to be announced closer to the 2027 season.
