The Cockroaches’ – oops, we mean the Rolling Stones’ – new song Rough & Twisted is now available online. The tease the band put out last week led fans to believe their new music would be a return to their early 70s heyday, when their music was gritty, dirty and bluesy.
NME has reported on the whole song, pointing fans in the direction of a complete version of the song, and apparently the teaser didn’t lie. The song (at least the physical edition) was limited to just 1,000 numbered copies at independent record shops worldwide, and has since sold out. However, the Internet being what it is, the complete studio version of the song eventually surfaced, and it does not disappoint. The single is the first climpse of the Stones’ as-yet-untitled new album, which is slated for release in July.
