A West Side summer favorite is gone after a devastating fire destroyed Twisters Ice Cream early Monday morning.
According to a report from 13 On Your Side, Grand Rapids firefighters responded to the shop near Fulton Street and Lane Avenue around 1 a.m. and found the building heavily damaged, with reports indicating a possible explosion may have occurred before the fire started.
Neighbors told authorities they heard a loud boom before flames erupted.
