August 20, 1976 was arguably the day that KISS went from being an interesting rock act to superstardom. “Destroyer” had been released six months prior, and the group took the stage in front of what was at that time their largest audience ever: 42,000 fans at Anaheim Stadium.
That night was immortalized in a highly sought after bootleg, and now, decades later, it’s getting a proper, official release. “Kiss Destroys Anaheim ’76” will be made available in 1 CD, 2 LP black vinyl, and 2 LP color vinyl for the standard release, with other commemorative editions also available. All versions drop 50 years and one day after the legendary concert, August 21.
