Pest control company Orkin has released its 2026 list of the nation’s top bed bug hot spots, and three Michigan cities made the Top 50. Detroit ranked No. 3 overall, while Grand Rapids came in at No. 10 and Flint landed at No. 20.
Orkin says the rankings are based on the number of residential and commercial bed bug treatments performed in metro areas over the past year. The company notes that densely populated areas, apartments, dorms, hotels, and destinations with heavy traveler traffic can create more opportunities for bed bugs to spread.
