The members of Pink Floyd are infamous for disagreeing about pretty much everything. But this time, all that in-fighting could be costing the band half a billion bucks.
According to a report in Financial Times, disagreements between Roger Waters and David Gilmour are holding up negotiations to sell the band’s song catalog for nearly $500 million.
Multiple companies have lined up to buy the band’s music rights, but a deal “has yet to materialize” because of the strained relationship between Waters and Gilmour. In fact, some sources close to the band think a deal will never happen.
Other artists that have recently sold their catalogs for huge payouts include Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Stevie Nicks.
