Michigan is bringing back a refreshed version of its beloved red‑white‑and‑blue Bicentennial plate — originally launched in 1976 — for a limited run in 2026 to honor America’s 250th birthday.
The modernized design features stars, stripes, and bold patriotic colors. It’s one‑time fee of $55 (that’s $50 toward roads and a $5 plate fee). You can get one online at Michigan.gov/SOS, through participating dealerships, or by visiting any Secretary of State office.
