There’s been an unfortunately regular concert occurrence over the last few years that’s seen performers being hit by thrown objects. In almost every case, it’s a young, enthusiastic crowd on hand for a current superstar (Morgan Wallen, Bebe Rexha, Kelsea Ballerini, etc.) that’s to blame.
Which makes the latest instance a little odd. Eric Clapton was playing a concert in Madrid late last week when he was struck by a thrown item: a record album, which hit him in the torso. While Clapton did not appear injured, he may have been more than a little irritated, as he left the stage and did not return for his usual encore. See a video of the incident to the right.
