Damn it, Canada. Not again.
If the sky looks a little hazy today, you’re not imagining it. Smoke from hundreds of wildfires burning across Canada is drifting into Michigan, prompting a statewide Air Quality Alert. Air quality is expected to range from “unhealthy for sensitive groups” to “unhealthy” as thick smoke moves across the Midwest.
Health officials recommend limiting strenuous outdoor activity, especially for children, older adults, and anyone with respiratory conditions such as asthma. Residents are also encouraged to keep an eye on the Air Quality Index and stay indoors when conditions worsen.
