One of Grand Rapids’ favorite burger destinations is getting a little bigger.
Black Napkin, the popular East Hills restaurant known for its smash burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, artisan fries and homemade soda, announced plans to expand into the space next door. The restaurant recently signed a lease for the neighboring storefront and will begin construction in early August.\

To complete the renovation, Black Napkin will close after service on Aug. 1 and plans to reopen on Aug. 19.
