In a new interview, the 75-year-old musician revealed he spent seven months in intensive care after a hospitalization linked to complications from alcohol use. Collins said his condition became so serious that his family was called to his bedside while doctors considered whether to keep him on life support. “My kidneys were packing up, my organs were just seizing up,” Collins said, adding that people were coming to say goodbye.
