We told you Alex Van Halen had some choice words for former bandmate Sammy Hagar. Now, the Red Rocker is firing back. There has long been speculation that Sammy’s 2011 memoir, “Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock” had passages about Eddie Van Halen’s substance abuse and erratic behavior that his brother thought crossed lines. Though Alex claims he doesn’t know what Sammy wrote, Sammy’s pretty sure that’s the problem.

Hagar recently sat down with Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation,” where he addressed the comments. “I don’t know what Alex’s problem is,” Hagar said. “…I tell the truth. And I have never lied in my book. None of those are lies. Those are all truth. All those things happened. Whether or not anyone’s happy about some of the stuff that they did that, you know, that I brought up to the people in the book, I don’t know.”
Sammy went further, claiming Alex is trying to erase him from the Van Halen’s legacy.
