According to a report from WOOD TV, A family cleaning out their grandfather’s basement in Paw Paw Township got quite a surprise Saturday when they discovered what turned out to be a grenade dating back to 1945.
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office responded to the home and confirmed the object appeared to be a grenade, prompting the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Bomb Squad to step in.
