Detroit Lions owner still believes in coaching staff, front office despite awful start

Detroit Lions owner Sheila Ford Hamp was asked about her team’s 1-5 start during practice this week.

ESPN reports that she still believes in head coach Dan Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes and the direction of the organization despite being frustrated.

“We’ve got 11 more games to go, so I just don’t want to ruin it, push the panic button and give up the ship because I think we’ve got the right people in place to pull this off, and I truly believe that. And I wouldn’t say that if I didn’t believe it.”

The Lions are 4-18-1 under Campbell since taking over at the beginning of the 2021 season.

Campbell expressed some of his frustrations after Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys but admitted he was encouraged by some of the things his team did.
