World’s Dirtiest Man Dies

The world’s dirtiest man has died at the age of 94.

Iranian Amou Haji had not bathed in more than 60 years, believing that cleanliness fostered illness. He also smoke pipes filled with animal feces, ate roadkill, drank water from an old, filthy bucket and often smoked several cigarettes at one time, The Guardian reports. Despite his disgusting ways, doctors said Haji was in good health just months before his death, sources say.

As crazy as it may sound, Haji might have been right. A few months ago, the people in his village convinced him to take his first bath in six decades — and afterward, he immediately fell ill. His condition only worsened as time went on and he finally died this week.
