Shane Gillis To Host SNL Five Years After Getting Fired

Comedian Shane Gillis, who was once famously fired from Saturday Night Live, will be returning to host the show five years later.

Gillis has been announced as the guest host for the Feb. 24th episode, along with musical guest 21 Savage.

In 2019, Gillis was announced as a new SNL cast member, only to be fired days later over “offensive, hurtful and unacceptable” comments made on his podcast, including a racial slur.

Gillis’ profile has risen considerably in the years since, with his Netflix special Beautiful Dogs debuting in the streamer’s Top 10.
